2019 Honda Passport: Specs, Features & Trim Comparison

2019 honda passport specs features trims

When it debuted in ’93, the initial Honda Passport was actually constructed in partnership with Isuzu. The initial Passport was a fine SUV, yet it was replaced by the Honda-designed Pilot in ’02. The name was unused up until the 3rd Generation Passport was shown at the LA Auto Show in ’18. We understand that United States consumers want SUVs and we wanted an SUV that was larger and a lot more competent than the CR-V yet not quite as large as the Pilot. The 2019 Honda Passport is our midsize SUV that is larger than you would think. Let’s have a look at the brand-new Passport.

Performance

The one thing you might see is that the brand-new Passport looks very similar to the Pilot. In fact, it’s not just the looks, as the Pilot and Passport share lots of elements, the first of which is the engine. The Passport is powered by a 3.5L 24-Valve SOHC V6 that produces 280hp and 262 lb-ft. Torque. The new Honda Passport is powerful and effective.

Design Highlights

The 2019 Passport has been developed for the buyer that is more adventure-oriented. It features more ground clearance than the Pilot, 20-inch wheels, LED low-beam headlights, LED fog lights, LED brake lights, and seating for five. Rain-sensing wipers, Hands-Free Power Tailgate, and Parking Sensors are just a few of the optional features on the new Honda Passport. Slide inside the rugged Passport and you’ll find optional items like an 8-inch touchscreen stereo, 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, perforated, heated and ventilated front seating, and a wireless phone charging functionality. The new Honda Passport is both sturdy and comfortable.

Tech Highlights

The ’19 Passport is just loaded with technology varying from convenience items like mobile hotspot capability, ambient LED lighting, and NAV with Voice Recognition to the remarkable Honda Sensing Suite of safety tech. Honda Sensing is installed on every new Honda Passport and features modern technology like Collision Mitigation Braking, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Warning. The only true upgradeable driver-assist technology is the Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Monitor. The ’19 Passport is loaded with modern technology to keep you and your family safe and secure.
