The Buzz About the 2017 Honda CR-V in San Antonio

September 23rd, 2016 by

The Honda CR-V has been in production since 1995, gaining popularity from the beginning and constantly receiving upgrades every year. It’s the perfect middle ground between the larger Honda Pilot and the smaller HR-V, or as baby bear would say, “Just right!” Fernandez Honda is making room for the 2017 Honda CR-V in San Antonio, so let’s talk about what we know so far.

This new 2017 CR-V is said to be one of the largest improvements it has ever experienced, largely in part because of the additional 3rd row it will be receiving! That’s right, the CR-V is ready to compete with the three row SUVs like the Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Sorento and other 7-seaters. But how will the 3rd row fit in? Honda is going to increase the wheelbase by 80 mm and the overall vehicle length by 50 mm to make this a comfortable change.

There are other things said to be getting a facelift including exterior changes like the headlights, fog lights, grille and front fascia. All of these small changes will contribute to an overall more ‘sophisticated’ look, allowing the 2017 CR-V to compete with higher end SUVs like the Land Rover Discovery. The interior could look drastically different with a much roomier space, offering more comfort and possible upgraded upholstery.

While we don’t know the exact date of the arrival of the 2017 Honda CR-V in San Antonio is, but we do have some pretty cool 2016 CR-Vs on the lot that are just drying to be taken for a spin. Check out the efficiency and power of the CR-V at Fernandez Honda!
